Sixth Annual Willits Celtic Renaissance Faire in Three Weeks!
May 19 & 20th returns you to the time in Scotland during the reign of Mary,
Queen of Scots and Knights in shining armor with the sixth annual Willits
Celtic Renaissance Faire. This years faire brings with it many new and
different shows such as:
* The Falcons Court Show- Engage in the Noble sport of the Hunt with this
live falcon & hawk show.
* Shakespeares Bloody Bits- All of the Bards most hilarious battle of wits
are featured in this sword fighting comedy, a rare treat direct from the
big stages of the Northern & Southern faires.
* Aires of Erin- Pastoral music of the isles as played by touring &
recording artists of Murphys Law and Kate Wolfs band.
* The Royal Scottish Dance Society- Highland, Folk and country dancing will
be featured and taught. Over 500 costumed actors come together and bring to
life the intrigue and excitement of the Renaissance. Four performance stage
areas including live jousting, juggling, puppet. |

| The Audobon Renaissance Faire Will Not be happening this fall as I
thought earlier last year. They will be opening a brand new building at
that time instead. I called to make sure today. |

I noticed that in the Simplicity pattern. It has princess seams in the
front and back. I dont have much of a bust to begin with, so I was
disappointed with the fact that I had to change the pattern to get something
that shouldnt have a curve there anyway! Today I ordered an Alteryears
pattern (thanks to all who suggested it). It should be here in a week or
two, according to the website. I like that link you sent, Cyd, so I might
try that during one of my sewing nights with my friend. Itll definitely be
good for a laugh and a few pictures. :) But I think its a good thing I
ordered the pattern too. Ive got plenty of experience making normal, wear
to work clothes, but none whatsoever in making Renaissance Faire stuff. The
faire Im going to starts on the 28th of this month and Im hoping to go to
at least 2 or 3 of them this year (its 2 hours away from me). Im going to
the one in San Bernadino, CA. Theyre not strict at all when it comes to
clothes. I think theyr. |

Did anyone make it to the London Bridge Renaissance Faire (AZ) Last weekend?
If so how was it? I made it for the first 2 seasons, the 1st year had about 25
booths, the 2nd year was down to about 15. I was just woundering if it was
going to last... |
